Cosmetics, sun block, perfume and hairspray all contain chemicals that can dramatically dull the luster of a pearl. The natural acids contained in perspiration can also damage pearls in the same way. Hence, pearls should be the last things to put on and the first things to takeoff.
Cleaning
Wiping the pearls with a damp, soft cloth after each wearing will ensure that they remain free of sweat, perfume, excess oils or dirt that may damage the nacre of your pearls.
Storage
Pearls are exceptionally cohesive and shock-resistant, but may be scratched by contact with sharp objects or other gemstones. To prevent tangles and scratches, fasten clasps and pins, then lay each item out separately in a compartmentalized jewelry box. When carrying pearl jewelry, use a protective jewelry pouch.
AJIA offers our customer with one-year warranty on pearl jewelry purchased through our official channels, including AJIA Shop shopify, showroom and Facebook page. The following conditions apply:
1. The warranty applies from the date of the invoice issued.
2. AJIA covers the cost of repair for only defects resulting from normal wear, such as cleaning, plating and loose prongs.
3. When pearl jewelry under the one-year guarantee is sent to AJIA, it will be inspected by AJIA to determine whether any repairs are needed. If repairs are required that are not covered under the one-year guarantee, the company will contact the customer for permission before working on the piece.
4. The warranty does not cover re-sizes.
5. If a defect is discovered, the pearl jewelry must be returned to AJIA for inspection. AJIA alone will determine if the defect is due to normal wear or extraordinary circumstances.
6. If it is determined that the jewelry has been damaged outside the bounds of the warranty, due to unusual or extreme wear or use, the customer will be held liable to pay for all repairs.
7. Any jewelry re-sized or altered in any way be a third party not under the ownership of AJIA or without the authorization of AJIA will forfeit the warranty.
8. The customer is liable for any shipping or insurance costs from the customer to AJIA office. The warranty will cover shipping and insurance costs from AJIA to the customer.
9. Due to the nature of pearl jewelry, AJIA will not be liable for damage to any chains that break on pendants, necklaces, and bracelets. AJIA will not be held liable for damage to ear-backs or other body jewelry.
10. AJIA will report to the customer any necessary repair required, prior to implementing the repairs. AJIA will be sure to inform the customer if the repair does or does not fall within the bounds of the warranty.

- Free shipping on Hong Kong orders of HK$500 or above. For orders below HK$500, a shipping cost of HK$50 will be charged upon payment.
- For confirmed orders in Hong Kong, standard shipping will be made within 7 working days.
- For orders outside Hong Kong, delivery promise will be ranging from 7-16 working days, subject to different countries.
RETURNS
Please ensure that your items DO NOT fall under the list of non-exchangeable and non-refundable conditions:
- Returns must be made within 7 days from delivery.
- Original condition and tags must be intact.
- Discount or sales items are not accepted for return or refund.
- All gift items must be returned together with the returned or refunded products. Otherwise the retail value of the gift item would be deducted from the refund.
- For any product defect and requesting an exchange, AJIA will be responsible for all delivery costs incurred.
- For any product refund, the customer will be responsible for delivery costs from the customer to AJIA office.
- Despite of local or overseas' orders, any single products with original price over HK$5,000 must be returned to AJIA showroom in person.
